On Thursday the 7th of June, frequent beach goer and local James Hallett uploaded a video to Facebook showing the polution situation at the Milnerton beach front. In the video he shows the vast amounts of plastic bottles and rubbish that has washed on the local shores. Take a look at the video and read on to see what happened next.

What followed after the video and appeal to the City of Cape Town is fantastic. Locals saw the post on Facebook and rallied together to help clean up the beach. Not long after the City of Cape Town arrived and everyone was stuck in.
