Growing up in the rural Eastern Cape, I was always entranced by the things I saw and the “hidden” beauty around me that most people seemed to plainly ignore or not notice at all. So, I spent my childhood wasting entire rolls of expensive film shooting trees and hills with my mum’s old Fujifilm point and shoot cameras. She was quite obviously not happy, not at all.
I only picked up a camera again years later when I moved permanently to Cape Town and saw the beauty this place has to offer, I was inspired all over again.
I’m an amateur photographer, just trying to show people how beautiful the world actually is.
