1. Walking Tour Of Cape Town

If you are keen to know more about The Mother City’s history,  Cape Town offers a daily 90-minute walking tour for free. No booking required unless you are a group of 10 or more. There are 3 walking tours to choose from. The Historic City Tour, Bo Kaap Walking Tour, and The Apartheid To Freedom Walking Tour.

2. Explore The Bo Kaap With Camera In Hand

The colorful buildings make stunning backdrops for photographs. While you are there grab a bite to eat. Cape Malay cuisine is something worth experiencing.

3. Hike Up Table Mountain

You simply cannot be in Cape Town and not hike up Table Mountain at least once. There are a few trails to chose from, the Platteklip Gorge route is said to be the easiest. Make sure you pack plenty of water and some snacks. To make it extra special see if you can’t get to the top before sunset or sunrise.

4. Take a Selfie With The Squirrels At The Company Gardens

Take some raw peanuts with you or buy a bag for a few rand at the Company Gardens to feed the squirrels, they are known to eat straight from your hand. Take a stroll along the beautiful lush garden path or find a sunny spot on the green lawn and read a book.

5. Take Dip In The Tidal Pools At Maiden’s Cove

With the water shortage in Cape Town, your pool is probably looking more like a swamp. Rather grab your cozzies and sunblock and head out to Maiden’s Cove for a swim in the tidal pools.
