Ride & Run Darling – The Ultimate Mountain Bike Event for All

Aktiv Events and Retail Capital are delighted to host this inaugural MTB and Trail Running event at Living Color, a new trail center 6 kilometers outside of Darling.
Ride & Run Darling gives you access to the famed Wolwefontein single track routes as well as the picturesque farmlands nearby. On April 9th, join us for longer access to untracked single track, reasonable climbs, breathtaking views, and wonderful post-event vibes.
This is a timed competition. An event’medal’ and a finishers drink are included with the entry fee.

ROUTES FOR MTB:
55 Km, 1150 m elevation:
This one is for those who enjoy single track and technical challenges. Cyclists will warm up and cool down on Wolwefontein’s single tracks. The route will take you through Darling’s picturesque town and onto the single tracks of Darling’s highlands and beyond. Cyclists may expect magnificent views, unmaintained single track, and some challenging climbs.
At 18 and 38 kilometers, there are water points.

33 kilometers with a 770-meter elevation gain:
This route is for racing snakes or people who are fit enough but don’t appreciate twists and turns. It is mostly jeep track and gravel with a minor amount of technical. The route features stunning views of the sea from the Darling Heights. At 18 kilometers, there is a water point.

14 kilometers at a height of 220 meters:
The picturesque pathways of Wolwefontein Farm are ideal for beginners or youngsters. Single tracks that are fun to ride. If you’re new to mountain biking, this is a great path to start with. At 6 kilometers, there is a water point.

TRAIL RUNNING ROUTES:
18km with 470m elevation:
Combination of single track and jeep with decent climbs. Water point at 7km and 13km.
13km with 330m elevation:
Combination single track and jeep track for those who want to challenge themselves but won’t make the 18kms. Water point at 7km.
6km with120m elevation:
Perfect for those who are new to trail or one for the whole family. Water point at 3km.
Race Rules:
50% Refund if cancellation is received before 1st March 2022
Substitutions welcome at a 10% service charge
