There are so many great kid friendly wine estates; each of them different but all making little humans happy. I love the estates that surprise you, that go just that little extra to make sure kids, and mom, are taken care of.

Set on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, Peter Falke Wine Estate is a must for families.

Floreal Brasserie at Marianne Wine Estate is a great kiddy friendly restaurant. It might not be the first place you think of on a Saturday for lunch, but it’s gorgeous, has good food, good wine and best of all – a place for the kids to play and be free! But the tasting room is just as kiddy friendly with its jungle gym, so mom can actually enjoy her wine tasting.

Vergenoegd Wine Estate in Somerset West is quickly becoming a household name when it comes to go-to wine estates and it is not hard to see why. They are well known for the duck parade that is an absolute hit with young and old, and of course, the market they boast with on a Saturday is a sure winner when it comes to kids entertainment.

Under Oaks is a perfect little spot on the Paarl Wine Route. We stumbled quite by chance upon it and I was so pleased with our find…wine, a gorgeous view, little tables for little people, and a play area, plus delicious wood-fired pizza that will make your mouth water!

Bon Amis @ Bloemendal

If you see your kids while at Bon Amis, it will probably only be to eat and then watch them run off again to explore the amazing jungle gym, and play area! Which makes this one of my best spots to visit on the Durbanville Wine Route.
