Visit the penguins and enjoy Boulders Beach.
Boulders Beach is home to the unique African Penguin, commonly known as the Jackass Penguin. When visiting the area you have two options to try. Option 1 being the free boardwalk or Option 2 being paid access to the beach where you and the family can enjoy swimming and watching these cool creatures in their natural habitat.
Where: Simon’s Town Region, Southern Suburbs of Cape Town
Age group: This is suitable for all ages.

The Blue Train Park in Mouille Point
The Blue Train Park in Mouille Point is a must do activity for your kids in Cape Town. This iconic experience has been running for over five decades and offers a great experience for kids.
Where: Mouille Point, Atlantic Seaboard
Age group: 1 to 12 years of age.
Opening hours: Weather permitting – from 9am to 6pm.

Clay Cafe
The Clay Cafe is an ideal day out for a ‘one of a kind’ creative experience. We offer adult and children’s parties (4 years and up), school outings, hen parties and team buildings and of course a delicious menu. All bookings 10 people or less can easily be booked online, hassle free.
Price: R35pp for the studio fee. The ceramics prices vary, starting from R20 depending on size and shape.

Milkwood Maze at Imhoff Farm
Milkwood Maze is an interactive new 3D maze at Imhoff Farm – a great outing of fun for the whole family.
Take a tour of Southern Africa, travelling to our neighbouring countries of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique – each destination is represented by a flag. Look out for different animals and learn about African animal conservation along the way.
Perfect for groups, team building, and birthday parties, the double-storey wooden structure has beautiful views of Imhoff Farm, Noordhoek Beach and the mountains beyond.

Play parks, soft, green lawns and shady settings make a picnic with friends and family an absolute pleasure, almost all year round in our sunny city.
