Constantia Valley Wine Bus:

It has almost become a world-renowned phenomenon to have those sexy red bus tours exploring various cities. We are lucky to have City Sightseeing South Africa to take us on bus tours around our beautiful country, allowing us to explore and see the wide variety of offerings we offer. The bus tours offer a range of different tours, you can look at their website to find out more about their other tour offerings.

We will be specifically looking at their Hop and Off Constantia Wine Route Tour. Hop off at Constantia Nek on the Mini Peninsula Tour to hop on the Constantia wine bus. It is a circular route with three bus stops: Groot Constantia, Eagles’ Nest and Beau Constantia. The total tour duration (with no stops) is 20 minutes, but what is lovely about this tour is that you can really hop on and off as you wish! So if you enjoy one wine farm and choose to stay, you can!

Groot Constantia:

Offering a variety of tastings and tours, Groot Constantia is one not to miss! Fancy having chocolate and wine in a pairing- here is the place to go! They also hold cellar tours if you fancy an interest in how their wines are made. Nestled on the estate you can find Jonkershuis restaurant (a beautiful brekkie/ coffee spot) and Simons (if you want to opt for the more fancier route).

Eagles’ Nest:

With a gorgeous garden, for kids to play around the space is truly exquisite. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely day on open benches out in the garden, almost looking like someone’s secret garden. One can enjoy a variety of platters, as well as tastings to enjoy!

Beau Constantia:

One can also do wine tastings at Beau Constantia as well as hosting The Chefs Warehouse, the fourth best restaurant in South Africa. The idea is for tapas-style eating (lunches and early dinners) on the large deck for al fresco dining!
